Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors and volunteers, we were able to serve over 1719 meals to individuals and families at our annual Easter Celebrations this past weekend.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and community — live music played, neighbours greeted each other warmly, and new friendships were formed. Volunteers served our guests with smiles, and community members of all ages, from children to seniors, gathered to enjoy a nutritious Easter meal, complete with dessert!
At Union Gospel Mission, we believe that something as simple as a meal can open the door to so much more — a moment of genuine connection, access to life-changing services, and renewed hope for the future. This Easter, as we celebrated Jesus’ resurrection, that hope was especially vibrant.
This meal wasn’t just about food. It was about creating a welcoming space where those experiencing poverty, homelessness, or addiction could rest, feel cared for, and know they are deeply loved.
Thank you again for your compassion and support. Because of you, thousands of our neighbours experienced real hope this Easter!
